Fraser Direct has aquired 2 additional facilities. We are now comprised of 3 convenient locations, encompassing over 113,000 square feet of warehouse space. Our head office will remain at the Georgetown location. Our other 2 facilities are slated for warehouse space only with no offices.

Customs Regulations

In March of this year, Canada Customs announced new restrictions, effective October 15, 2007, on the use of paper RMD and paper PARS customs-release procedures, with a few exceptions for goods subject to import control. Current customs-release procedures allow the carrier to report to Customs with copies of commercial invoices containing a full description of the goods (including country of origin) and their respective H.S. classifications. Effective October 15, 2007, all entry documents for commercial importations will have to be presented by the importer or it's designated customs broker via EDI, prior to arrival of the shipment at Customs.

Currently, an average of 80% of all shipments cleared through customs by Fraser Direct are released using pre-arrival EDI electronic release options.
